
The Perkin Elmer LS 55 luminescence spectrometer is a very versatile instrument that allows measurement of fluorescence, phosphorescence, and chemiluminescence or bioluminescence of a liquid and powder. The LS-55 is a fluorescence/luminescence spectrophotometer with pulsed high pressure Xenon source. It is equipped with monochromators on both the excitation and emission sides and is capable of both excitation (200-800nm) and emission (200-900nm) scans.
Also for teaching purpose KUT407 and KAT340.
For first time user(FYP/UG/PG/Internal or other school only), you are requested to:
1. Inform about your booking slot after completing your reservation via WhatsApp (for your information, your booking will also be automatically notified after approval from the PIC, please also check the email registered during registration in the LESIS system).
2. Come at the time you have booked. Late arrivals will result in your booking being canceled. (Please make a new slot reservation)
3. Ensure that a search has been conducted regarding the EXCITATION parameters/start end that you wish to find. If not, I will not be able to assist you.
4. Make sure to bring GLOVES, TISSUE, SPATULA, AND WASH BOTTLE FILLED WITH ETHANOL (for solid/powder sample only).
5. USB DRIVE for data acquisition (preferably formatted first to avoid viruses).
6. EQUIPMENT ROOM K214 G09A New Wing (call/WhatsApp if you need guidance).
