The BET (Brunauer, Emmett and Teller) theory is commonly used to evaluate the gas adsorption data and generate a specific surface area result expressed in units of area per mass of sample (m2/g). BET Specific Surface Area is the most widely recognized technique for determining the surface area of solids and powders. Samples are first prepared by drying, with a flow of inert gas or vacuum atmosphere, to clear the surface of any contaminants. The sample is introduced to cryogenic temperature to allow a probe gas to physically adsorb to the surface of the sample. The volume of probe gas adsorbed is measured to determine the quantity of gas required to cover the surface of the sample.
General Rules and Requirements:
1. Sample mass should be in the range of 0.1 – 5 g only
2. Sample must dry it before submits.
3. Sample need to be clearly labelled and stored.
4. Suggest to perform the TGA analysis for accurate melting point estimation.
5. Sample melting point and degassing temperature must be at least 90 °C.
6. Wet sample will not be analyzed if the melting temperature is lower than 90 °C.
7. Isotherm graph will not be provided for low porous sample only BET result will be provided.
8. All analysis prices are subject to change.
9. Estimated waiting period for result is within 1 – 3 weeks.
